Tip Tuesday: Get those photos off your hard drive

Raise your hands; how many of you are guilty of taking tons of pictures and never getting any of them actually printed? I used to be so bad at this as well. I have a ton of pictures on my computer and I really loved taking and editing them (yes I’m one of the weirdos who love the editing process ^^) but then they remain in a folder on my server, never to be seen again.

In all honesty it’s a little ridiculous, we spend so much time on getting the perfect shot, fiddling around with framing, composing the picture, getting exposure right and whatnot and then we enjoy the finished photo for all about 90 seconds on a tablet, PC or worst of all a smartphone.

So in order to break this habit I’ve recently decided to spend some time going through old pictures and actually sending my favorites to the print lab. The first few pictures arrived on my doorstep a few days ago and they turned out beautifully. Printed on Fine Art paper and framed by a classic passe-partout, two of them are already proudly displayed above my desk at home. Now whenever I need a break from work I can simply look up and escape to Venice for a moment. …well, at least in my thoughts. 😉

If you’re thinking about getting your photos printed as well, I can’t recommend Saal Digital enough. Their prints have an amazing quality, they are not too expensive and the delivery is super quick.

What about you? Do you print your photos or are they also neatly hidden in some folder on your desktop?

Nice pictures! 🙂 I print mine but then I don’t know what to do with them, so I just have piles in storage!
