Well hidden and known only to locals and insiders, the ATZ (Arbeitstrainingszentrum) „Zweigstelle Schwaigau“ is located in the middle of the Upper Austrian Schwaigau.

Admittedly, you have to know what you are looking for when you make your way to „Zweigstelle Schwaigau“. Even as a local, it took me a while to find out that this large nursery, located just a stone’s throw from my home, actually existed. Neither the narrow road that leads out of the village to the south, towards the wetlands, nor the dense forest that begins directly behind the city limits of Pichling, suggests that just behind this forest is a Mecca for all garden-, flower-, and vegetable lovers.

The „Zweigstelle Schwaigau“ consists of several greenhouses, a glasshouse and a large open area full of seasonal balcony and bedding plants, all kinds of trees, hardy perennials as well as wellness herbs, vegetable plants and many rarities. In short, there is something to be found for every hobby gardener.
